Tuning: Standard - E A D G B E
Tone: Heavy Distortion, also Clean

There are two main "pieces" of this song that comprise
most of the structure: the verse group, and the chorus.
group. First, we'll look at the verse, as the pieces begin
to assemble:

Part 1: Clean with chorus. This is actually two guitars.
One is playing the chords, and one plays a short arpeggio
over them. The arpeggio always begins when one of the
chords is struck.

--0----0--
|--3----1--| The verse of the song
|--2----0--| is based around these
|--0----2--| two chords (D and C),
|--0----3--| and they alternate
|--X----X--| throughout.

-----------1-------------0-------
|--------3---------------------1--| Because of the way
|-----2----------------0----------| the last D chord arrives
|--0----------------2-------------| early, when combined
|----------------3----------------| with the arpeggio it
|---------------------------------| sounds like a new chord.

Under the clean parts, we have a heavy guitar playing
chords, that slowly ramps in volume as the clean chords
repeat twice:

-------------------------
-------------------------
--7----5---77----3----7--
--7----5---77----3----7--
--5----3---55----1----5--
--5----3----5--X\1----5--

As the last heavy chord sustains, a little octave riff
comes in, to lead us into the song proper:

----------------
----------------
--7/10---\5-/7--
--X-X-----X--X--
--5/8----\3-/5--
----------------

Now, with the drums and the rest of the instruments,
we've got a new octave riff doing a little trickery to
give the song a darker feel:

---------------------------------
---------------------------------
---7b,r--5b,r--7b,r--3b,r--5b,r--
---X-----X-----X-----X-----X-----
---5-----3-----5-----1-----3-----
---------------------------------

What we're doing there is playing the octave, and then
slowly bending, then releasing, the top string. When
combined with distortion, this makes the sound "pulse".

Along with all that, there are two guitars doubling some
heavy chords in opposite channels:

--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--7----5---/10-\5-/7----3----5---/10-\5-/7--
--7----5---/10-\5-/7----3----5---/10-\5-/7--
--5----3---/8--\3-/5----1----3---/8--\3-/5--
--5----3---/8--\3-/5----1----3---/8--\3-/5--

Now, we come to the first chorus. Here, there are some
guitars playing heavy chords, like so:

------------X----------------------
------------X----------------------
|--7---------X-10-9-/3----5---10-5--| Play 2x
--7-(strum)-X-10-9-/3----5---10-5--
--5---------X-8--7-/1----3---8--3--
--5---------X-8--7-/1----3---8--3--

Over the heavy chords, there is a guitar playing octaves:

------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
--7---------/10-9-\3----5---------/10-\5--
--X-(strum)--X--X--X----X-(strum)--X---X--
--5---------/8--7-\1----3---------/8--\3--
------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
--7---------/10-9-5-\3---3/5---------5/7X--
--X-(strum)--X--X-X--X---X-X-(strum)-X-XX--
--5---------/8--7-3-\1---1/3---------3/5X--
-------------------------------------------

The second verse begins with only bass and a very basic
beat. Then, we reincorporate the clean chords / arpeggios.

At the beginning of the second chorus, an octave riff ramps
up twice, and then we're in full swing. The part that ramps,
just so you know, is an extension of the first bit of the
following octave riff, which replaces the octaves from the
last chorus. Other than that, this chorus is the same:

----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
--7-7-7-7-7-XXX-7-7-X-7-7--7-7-7-7-7-XXX-7-7--
--X-X-X-X-X-XXX-X-X-X-X-X--X-X-X-X-X-XXX-X-X--
--5-5-5-5-5-XXX-5-5-X-5-5--5-5-5-5-5-XXX-5-5--
----------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
--X-9-9-9/10-10-10-XXX-9-9-X-10-10-10/12-12--
--X-X-X-X-X--X--X--XXX-X-X-X-X--X--X--X--X---
--X-7-7-7/8--8--8--XXX-7-7-X-8--8--8--10-10--
---------------------------------------------

---------------------------
|---------------------------| The entire chorus
|--12-12-XXX-10-10--X-10\7--| section repeats
|--X--X--XXX-X--X---X-X--X--| three times.
--10-10-XXX-8--8---X-8\\5--
---------------------------

As we hit the third verse, a single clean note rings out:

--1--
-----
-----
-----
-----
-----

The third verse begins with bass, and then introduces the
dissonant bent octaves we saw earlier in the song. Then,
the heavy chords come back, playing the following:

--------------------------------
--------------------------------
--3----5----3----5---/10-\-5-X--
--3----5----3----5---/10-\-5-X--
--1----3----1----3---/8--\-3-X--
--1----3----1----3---/8--\-3-X--

The little octave that lead us into the song proper makes
an appearance, and then we get the ramp effect again.

The final chorus is like the others. You know the drill.

And then, the song ends with the clean intro chords and
arpeggios without any other guitar.
